Party Mark + Cat - Charleston, SC

Party Mark & Cat got married in October of 2022. I'm a little late getting their story up on this site... Sadly, Mark's dog, Duke (seen above) is no longer with us. But, they do still have a german shepard pup, named Cade.

Mark & I were in school together at College of Charleston. We met through a mutual friend when my roommate and I walked about 45 minutes over to a fraternity house for a party. I had stubbornly worn heels on this walk and wanted to put something more comfortable on while at the party. Mark, who lived at the house at the time, kindly offered me a pair of his loafers to borrow. Hilariously, a bit later in the evening, Mark was drunk enough to forget that he'd given me the shoes. This led us to the one-liner that we share when people ask us how we first me that goes 'Oh, I kicked him in the balls because he was trying to take shoes off of my feet'. Obviously, we sorted things out following this incident, but it's a pretty funny story to tell when people ask about how we became friends.

I met Cat shortly after she started dating Mark & instantly loved her bubbly energy. We were fast friends & I was so happy to be able to celebrate her when the two got engaged. Her bachelorette took place out on Folly Beach, just outside of Charleston, SC. It was a small group, but filled with lots of energy.

We beached, we ate some great food and we talked about the future. We were all so excited for Mark & Cat - we even stopped by to see the future groom while we were out in downtown Charleston!

The rehearsal dinner was at a very cute event space in downtown Charleston & the wedding took place at Old Wide Awake Plantation. The weather was perfect for both events - it was nice to escape the cold of Massachusetts for warmer Charleston in October!

After the wedding, we all headed downtown to a bar we frequented in college, Henry's. Mark slipped the bouncer some money to get the whole wedding party in without waiting, which was pretty great because the place was hopping!
