It is such a crazy and complicated story about how I know Olivia! To make a long story short (and less detailed), her mother and step father both went to high school with my Dad and our families have therefore been intertwined for some time.
Olivia and Jason decided to have a small ceremony that was family only in July of 2020 on their original wedding date. They will also be planning a less formal reception celebration for 2021 that all of their wedding guests will attend.
This couple also decided that they didn't want to have a wedding party, but we still had a chance to do a bachelorette party. A group of girls and I went down to Florida in February, right before the pandemic really hit, and stayed at my parent's house in Jupiter. We honestly did a lot in those few days, including a polo match brunch, going fishing, clubbing in West Palm Beach and floating in the pool. Our song of the trip was "Dance Monkey" by Tones and I and I still think of this trip every time that I hear it now!
2023 Update:
Liv and Jason were only delayed a year in getting married and then the following year we were finally able to celebrate with a larger reception! It was July 2021 when we all got together in Liv's Mom's backyard. There was lots of champagne to be had :P
Liv & Jason finally got to show everyone the first dance that they had been working on - I had to help Liv take off her shoes halfway through because one of the straps on one of her shoes just popped off randomly.... but the rest of the crowd barely noticed it happened!
Now, as I write this in January of 2023, Liv and Jason are expecting a new addition to their family! Olivia is due this month and we all can't wait to welcome the next member of the crew <3
