Mary + Kevin - Asheville, NC

I met Mary while in school at The College of Charleston. She and I were both rushing a sorority, me as a second semester senior and her as a freshman. I felt instantly bonded with her and she conveniently moved to Boston (where I moved after college) once she graduated too! I was absolutely psyched when I learned that she would be living closer to me as I missed her terribly.

A non traditional chick, Mary + Kev's wedding is going to be hella cool. It will be happening in NC in the woods. Some select guests, myself included, will get to stay in yurts for the weekend of the event. I'll be sharing a yurt with another college friend of ours, Dana, and we have already dubbed our yurt 'the party yurt'.

The bachelorette party will be in Portland, Maine. A super cute area, Mary and a small group of us will be having a low key weekend.

2023 Update:

So, the pandemic is still a thing, but maybe more under control? BUT I sort of forgot that I had created this website......and wanted to make sure I got back to it because I really like having a record of my thoughts on all of these wonderful times I've gotten to have with friends.

ANYWHO - Let's set the scene. It's June of 2021. We're heading to NC for the wedding festivities. We never actually went on the bachelorette - I still have some t-shirts I made for the weekend in my attic.... I should probably mail those to Mary, as she & Kev moved to NYC a few months ago now.

The spot that Mary & Kev picked for their wedding was beautiful and fit them perfectly. They were married at riverside (see arbor in below photo), in the woods of NC. All of the guests even had time over the weekend to enjoy the water and float on tubes.

The yurts were SO much fun, and most of them had hot tubs for folks to enjoy!

I brought eye gems for the reception and has a blast putting them on Mary & Kev's families who probably thought I was crazy! See below for some pictures :)
